Steve has spent his working life employed within a large corporate communications company. He has had many roles and the last 10 years in senior management. His role was to manage the change within the company and necessitate the changes to staff. He quickly learned the vast differences in attitude to dealing with changed needed a specialised focus. Interest in counselling and behavioral attitudes helped immensely in dealing with people that have a natural resistance to change. To augment this interest, Steve is continuing his studies in counselling and is in the process of becoming accredited with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
Steve has 2 teenage daughters and in addition to this priority in his life, he also dedicates some of his time to the Samaritans as a volunteer.
British Association of Anger Management has highlighted an important weak link in the chain of events that lead to happiness. From the experience Steve has had in dealing with staff within his working environment and finding different levels of frustration and anger he has decided to develop his skills within the BAAM organisation. Individuals will gain insight into understanding the natural feelings of frustration and anger and work with them to help them find their own path.
Different personalities require different approaches to help deal with frustration and anger issues. Steve can offer one to one, group and bespoke services in a safe, confidential environment. In addition to these services, Steve is developing a programme aimed at individuals that work in the public sector who are frequently on the receiving end of abusive members of the public. This will also be extended to parents and teachers that have to cope with angry children and teenagers.
